GM HART specializes in helping the lost, neglected and abused animals of Garfield and Maple Heights find their forever homes and get a second chance at life. GM HART gets many adoptable cats and dogs, of all shapes and sizes and would love to match you and your family with your new best friend!

If you would like to become a foster for GM HART, please click the link above and fill out the Foster Application. A GM HART member will review your application and contact you within 24 - 48 hours. Fostering is rewarding, and the only thing you need to provide is an open heart and an open home; GM HART will cover the expenses of your foster animal! Not only will fostering enrich your life, but it will provide a valuable second chance for a deserving animal in-need. GM HART is always looking for foster homes for both cats and dogs! The more foster homes we have available, the more animals we are able to bring into the GM HART program.
1.) Fill out a GM HART Foster Application.
2.) A GM HART member will review your application and contact you to let you know your request is being processed.
3.) A GM HART member will schedule a home-check; this will give us a chance to go over any questions or concerns that GM HART or the potential foster might have.
4.) A meet and greet will be scheduled to introduce potential fosters and animals.
5.) GM HART will network the animals and arrange meet and greets with adopters; fosters are not required to participate in this, although it is greatly valued!

Rescued animals make fantastic pets and companions; they seem to be even more grateful and loyal that you are willing to give them a chance at love and happiness! 5.) Adopters can opt to do a "foster-to-adopt" trial. If adoption is chosen, all paperwork will be completed and the adoption will be finalized.
are close and valuable friends of GM HART; both are groups of wonderful people that do amazing work, and are willing to help out GM HART whenever possible.
